Mizunokuni (水の国) is a museum themed on water. The museum has beautiful pond, modern garden, art gallery, science gallery and Shue Matsubayashi museum.
Around a pond in the central courtyard in the museum, you can find many unique statues. They are made in the motif of Kappa, a Japanese legendary creature living in water. Kappa is a symbol of Sakurae.
In the art gallery, concerts and movie show are held. The exhibits in the gallery are different depending on the season. (You can search the exhibits and events here.)
There are many exhibits related on water such as water trumpet, music box and water organ, so children can learn by playing with water. I recommend a scale which you can weigh the amount of water in your body.
